Hi there,

Yes, just watching local South East today news and very interesting piece on the Rye ship builders, built three of six MFVs which sailed to the Far East to lay mines, all oak with little metal fastenings of course, reporter then spoke in front of the Fairmile that has been there a while now, number has gone from memory, did visit a few years ago in heavy rain but no one about, but she clealry is still there, was talk of going to Portsmouth, patronage of Admiral Zambellis, spelling sure not quite right. Visited over the weekend Portsmouth dockyard, saw Tim Deans of this forum, advised new coastal forces museum due soon at Gosport, with the Fairmile already there, but that may? be static or even in side....all the best,

Johnk

Dear John K,

I note that you are a senior member of this forum and have used it for some years.

I felt compelled to reply to the dreadful message from Mr Tony Medri regarding RML 526 and it's owners Mr & Mrs Brooker-Carey which you have politely replied to. I attach this message to make sure that you don't miss it. I am sure that you would not wish to get embroiled in this users defamatory and hateful comments about the BC's .

Yours truly
Cy

Dear Mr Medri,

I am a very good personal friend of the BC's and know of their project and intentions for RML 526.

Your comments you have made are defamatory and I consider your attitude and tone to be that of a hate mail. The charity HAS NOT been struck off and your comment about "the company set up to oversee her restoration has been dissolved" is utter nonsense and again defamatory.

You mentioned that you looked at their FB page, you obviously did not bother to read about the BC's plans once restoration was finished which is that they will operate her as a charter business and all profits (after tax of course) will be donated to RNRMC and Help 4 Heroes to help support our wounded, injured and sick service personnel - This I think is highly commendable and so did the First Sea Lord (now retired) which is clearly why he supported such a project.

May I suggest you read the rules and terms of conditions that this forum operates - I paste an extract here for you: I have underlined where I think you have breached these rules.

You agree not to use this forum to post any material which is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws. You also agree that you will not post any copyrighted material that is not owned by yourself or the owners of these forums.

These forums are great platforms for like minded people to interact. What they don't need are social media Trolls like yourself. I shall be reporting this to the BMPT trust.

I am aware of your unfortunate financial and personal problems that lead to RML 526 being seized by the mooring company and sold to pay for substantial accrued debts - this is indeed very sad for you BUT it does not entitle you to attack the BC's in this way or anybody else.

May I suggest that if you have time on your hands and now in a good financial position that you find a good cause to support, there are plenty out there.

I would urge other users not to get embroiled in your hate mail and be mindful of the T & C's that we all sign up to adopt while using this site.

I will be looking out for any other posts you make on other forums.

Yours truly

Cy
