Hi Chris,
I think you mean the counterpart of the HDMLs in the Kriegsmarine. According to my sources this were the so called "raeumboote", they were similar to the Fairmile A, B and C Motor launches in the Royal Navy. Used as minesweepers, escorts and patrol vessels. Look here: http://www.german-navy.de/kriegsmarine/ships/index.html I hope this will help. Regards Horst |

Chris decided to build a Kriegsfischkutter, an exciting project. Have you come across plans for the Luftwaffe 80 and 90 foot FLB rescue boats? |

Hi all,
the Kriegsfischkutter (KFK) is similar to the British MFVs, although I never heard of such owned by the Luftwaffe. The abbreviation FLB means "FeuerLöschBoot" (fire-boat), but there might be another meaning during the war. There is a book about the KFKs, which also contains plans here. Sirmar Models offers a KFK with plans-set here. I would also recommend a google-search with many pictures of KFK-models like this one. Regards Horst |

Hi Guys Thanks for the interest in the KFK. As Christian quoted, I will be building a 24mt KFK from the Sirmar hull and plan set. As usual, I will be making a percentage of the fittings require to fit this boat out along with the Kriegsmarine crew that I already produce. Please keep an eye on my website for the latest new on this very interesting project. It is anticipated to start around the end of February, I must finish my latest build first!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please keep the links and photos coming on the KFK's please! regards Christopher |

Hi All and seasons greetings!
Well its only took me 5 years to order a hull in 1:24/25th scale to build this model! I have plans now that came from Kingston Mouldings and enlarged to hull size! Will post some pics as and when work is carried out over the Xmas holidays Christopher
