I had intended to go and have a look yesterday but for some reason the world and his dog all seemed to want to take the airport junction exit and the queues were manic so I carried on by.  If Jim doesnt make it in the next few days I'll try again.
happy hunting
Gareth

Hi Northeastuser

you can get access to the "Trigo" no prob...just ask the Balloch Marina owner for a look at her..

The plans for the new flats at the road down have been shelved for the moment...but the corner is still very tight.

Looks like the cabin is now open at the rear as the wood has fallen off....pics to follow!

Regards

Jim.

Made it down today and spotted the downstream boat / 2 boats.  Appears to be sat on the bottom because you cant see very much at high tide.  It looks more like a pontoon with a portacabin on top.  May be worth a revisit when the tide is out.

Hi was over as well nothing but an old fishing boat hull filled in and used as a jetty...pity

On the other hand...saw this in The River Leven in Dumbarton

was used as a Signal Boat by the navy during the war on the Clyde...built of all Alu, was built as a private cruiser, said to have been used by Edward and Mrs Simpson in the late 30's on a visit to Scotland...called Diana II

The Grey paint drew me in....but was not fooled

Went to Bowling Harbour very sad found the remains of the "Whale Back" that lived there...not much left of her.

Something new.....

Got too dark but have just seen a ST type launch (Cross Planking and chine hull, hull looks like Zeta with odd cabin small port holes) in the River Leven in an area near the old Whiskey Bond...the area is a building site and the Watchie was not for letting me in to take pics at that time of night..the boat is new to the area..pics to follow

Regards

Jim.
