Thanks for the update. I can't find her in fleabay. I wish I had the money too.

Anyone know what happened to the Hants & Doeset that was for sale in Essex some months ago...?

If anyone knows of an old LCP Landing  craft ( that's not attached to a roundabout),  I'd love to get one to do up.

Happy New Year to one & all..
Don

Its a shame she's up for sale as tony & his wife certainly had the drive to look after her. Hoping he'll bounce back from health problems. 3years is a long time for a wooden boat but she was stunning last time i was aboard & only missing her scott hall engines, strecther saloon on rear deck(which is still in galmpton) & guns to make her original. Not expecting good news in this economic climate but i'm off to talk to my bank manager just in case. If anyone thinking of buying a barge ect then beat me to this one at half the price
A boat is a hole in the water surrounded by wood, into which one throws money

I was in Rye at Christmas and saw a boat called Western Lady IV.  Looked to be in a poor state.  Is this really the Western Lady on which I made many trips across Torbay in my schooldays after the war. Didn't get the chance to see her close up, but I have a good friend in Rye whom I might persuade to go down and have a look.  Meantime - any news from anyone??

Hi there,

Oh dear, there was a picture of her along side at Rye I think, "looked" OK but as you say, if not being looked after very sad indeed, a lot of money and effort was spent on her, note she was due at the IOW, location dose not matter if as I say, she is not looked after, many thanks,

Johnk
