Hi Alan,

Fantastic! when you said you were replacing planks I thought she would be ashore for a while! but clearly not of course, great to see her afloat, if you are underway this year, do give us a call at Chatham Marina, appreciate not all that far away for a trip come to think of it.....but still, be great to see an historic craft with us.....well done and all the best,

Johnk

Here are a few photos to show how the repairs to Blue Peter are progressing. To summarise we have replaced most of the cabin structure above deck level apart from the wheelhouse ( which has been repaired) and most of the frames and bulkheads have been renewed. Still a bit to go but hoping to give her a run later in the year.

Just a quick update . I have managed to get hold of a pair of Perkins S6m engines which were the correct original engines. Assuming they are all ok after some tlc I will use these instead of the pair of 6354 perkins engines that I had planned to use. If anyone has any spares for the S6m engines they are prepared to sell then I am interested in buying them. Merry Xmas everyone.Smile
