Ah, I wondered what happened to her, she was ashore at the yard where I keep my boat for a long time, un paid fees, the yard but her on ebay and she went to the Itchen as the colour pics show.

Fine looking boat, never draws 8ft, the waterline wasnt 2 foot above my head when ashore.  Hope someone fixes her up ok.
Napier Lion engine wanted.

Well done Christian thats the very boat, the hull is almost identical to an HDML except no portholes and the stearn has a slight rake. If she is ever finished she will make useful yacht.

I have been looking for these pictures for over 30 years.
I was there when these pictures were taken.

My father ran his business on this boat from 1954 to 1961. I spent many hours on her as a crew member (unpaid) I also spent many hours on the Pride of the Dart the converted HDML.

Any chance of a copy of the photos. I do have a rare photo from 1963 of the Pride.

Despite being one of the first architectural practices in Bedfordshire to convert to CAD in 88 this is the first forum I have been involved in ‘Help.’
