Hello there new to this Forum, a question.

Can anyone tell me what were the true colours  of the RAF high speed launch HSL 2564 - when she left the builders yard, Vosper.

I have a colour scheme which suggests completely yellow decks but I tend to suspect this colour scheme.   I have seen plans which tend to suggest a medium grey.

thanks

A color rendering of HSL 2564 by John Pritchard in Royal Air Force Rescue Boats of World War II, Part 2 shows her with black hull, gray vertical surfaces, and yellow horizontal surfaces.  John was on HSLs and is a marine artist/draftsman.  He researched HSLs for years, so I would put more faith in one of his products than one from another source.  However, to verify this scheme, you really need to find a good photo of 2564 and compare the tones between the vertical and horizontal surfaces.
