I wonder if painting kill marks on their boats was a common practice for WWII Royal Navy MTB crews. MTB 378 (MTB 375 probably as well) had three swastika kill marks stencilled on the front of its bridge. They appear to have used the same stencil their American counterparts used on their PT boats (Leghorn 44/45). Perhaps the British crews just followed the American example regarding the painting of kill marks ?
