Hello does anyone know where the British powerboat Target ended up? Last seen at husband's boat yard.
I did meet someone at a Southampton maritime show that sent me a photo of her on a low loader so I know she was not one of those burnt at the end of yard clearance. She was of the same design at the Seaplane tenders but a few feet shorter at 35 ft. She was single diagonal on oak frames and had a 6 inch solid mahogany band round middle of hull. She was painted green like the police commissioners launches and had wood topsides. She had early numbers from about 1935 etched into floorboards and museum of Southampton said they were waiting for Scott Paine's paperwork to be returned from abroad. He said she was 1 of 6 built at that time. Hope that is enough info for anyone to help me. Thanks Sharyn |
