OK Chaps

Progress report

Metcalf Mouldings were happy to sell me a drawing, but it has no hull lines, this is because they supply the hull, which leads me to wonder how they made the original? my guess is that it was made by a third party.

My contact in Mexico has yet to produce the images, there may be some local problem that end which needs sorting out, but he is a professional person and I have no doubt of his good intentions, besides which it is still early days.

I have now written to Vosper, as they are one of the few contractors that worked on this ship that still survive, in the hope that they may be able to help out with a drawing, after that I am at a bit of a loss as to how else to proceed.

Hello Mike,

As another long shot - have you tried Lambert Plans?

I have spoken to John, a very helpfull chap, but he seems to stop at ships from around the 1960's, this is too late for him, though for anyone else who might find it useful, he does have the plans of the Perkasa, might even have a go at that one myself.

News!

Had an E-Mail from George at the Glasgow University Achives, they have plans on file from one of the Clyde builders, Scotts.

He is looking at how feasable it would be to get a copy made, so I may have this one resolved.

Could be a while before I know as they are not blessed with a huge staff, still fingers crossed eh!

                  Ih Robotski.

I have a drawing of a percass it is 1: 24 scale but to make a brave class just leave the bridge wheelhouse off and lift the exhausts so that they are just below the deck level of the transom. This will be my next model when I have finished Gay Charger.

           Regards all Ted Drum1
