Hi everybody, I'm Brian. I'm looking into diving on what looks like an MTB or MGB in the spoil ground East of Weymouth harbour. It's reported to have 2 large engines and one small. It'd be fantastic to be able to identify it.

I'm wondering if you could help me to narrow it down as to what it could be. I haven't dived it myself yet but it would be super helpful to know:

1. Does anybody know of specific MTBs wrecked in the area? I understand HMS Bloodhound was hulked and wrecked 'off Bincleaves'

2. If there are plates on the engines are there any ways to link engines to a specific vessel?

3. Are there shipyard plates in standard places we could search for?

4. Do you have any other tips for identifying a wrecked MTB beyond looking for the dirty great number painted on the side?Wink

I'd really appreciate any help and will of course report back if we have any luck.

Thanks in advance!
