3 Rolls RoyceProteus & 2 Volvo APU turbines/Vosper

   Hi,
yesterday at Southampton I saw the impressive 60 Knots HighSpeed "Yacht" built 1960 by Vosper  (with similar Specs of the SR.N4s) for Stavros Niarchos known as "Mercury", powered by 3 Rolls RoyceProteus & 2 Volvo APU turbines. She's a still sound triple diagonal built.
I never saw a "Jet boat" from near, and I was impressed by the decandez of THREE Jets - we had fun thinking of the tank size and consumption. 
She's waiting for a refit and had obviously nobody scrubbing the deck for a loooong time. A bit of weed killer would help definetely ;O)  ...at the front are still some taped marks of some contruction pieces of Spinnacker Tower which had fallen down damaging her, when she was moored under it at Gunwharf.
