I obtained a bare hull model, which was in the process of being modified to a later broad wheelhouse Perkasa. It came with some components, parts of the wheelhouse/bridge, and a funnel, which I assumed was bundled in from a different vessel. A Ken Hands Brave Borderer plan was also included.
I then set about patching up the parts, and fitting the hull with triple screw shafting. I had assumed that it was the Borderer, and printed the deck components to suit the plans, but then I realised that what was left of the wheelhouse wasn't the Borderer, or even Perkasa.
Looking at pics on the Web, I am guessing that it may have started life as the Veron kit, similar to the later variant diesel/funneled Ferocity?
So the model ended up with a guess of the plenum chamber, Ferocity bridge, and Borderer deck fittings. The hull is strange too as it curves in at the widest point, and the deck is not flush to the hull sides. It does perform well, perhaps too fast, even for a 1.3m model.
Are drawings available of the Ferocity?
Any comments or advice?
Regards
