I am I right in thinking that in addition to the centre line rudder there were two under the stern and three props? Can any one tell me the pitch and dia of the props as I am building a r/c model and would like get things as accurate as possible. Thanks Daryl

Daryl, Three rudders sounds right, the props were 31" x 30" on most of the boats. Cheers Mate!! Rev. Bob |

Can any one confirm there were two rudders at the back in line with the outer props and a centreline one or three at the back and the centre line one. Thanks Daryl

Hello Daryl The WW2 73ft 'Short' Vosper boats had three props and rudders in line (if looking across the boat ie Port to Stbd. The later 'Gay' class (1950's) boat's prop's all turned one way ie clockwise, and just to confuse you a little Regards |

Hi, Thanks for the info it is very much appreciated, I now realise I now have to build four rudders. I am still undecided if I should have all the props turning the same way or get handed ones. One last thought, I have read in the Allied Coastal Forces Vol2 book and the Squadron Signal book that the centre engine was geared differently to the other two. Does anyone know why? Many thanks for your help Daryl
