BPB yard number 1850 was a 41'6" Seaplane Tender, service number 440, later Pembroke Puffin. See http://www.bmpt.org.uk/News/news02.htm Edited by Christian |

rikky.c, myself and Dave Wright who owned 1502 had a very nice trip on the Humber on Pembroke Puffin (440) when a chap called Brian Hendin had her, he kept her in good nick, she then changed hands and looked a bit neglected when I saw her again in Hull Marina. Brian now ownes my Uncle's old boat which I knew as Lady Margaret and now called John Vincent she is an ex Navy pre War 100man sailing/pulling boat now fitted with twin engines

Hi,Thanks for that bit of info,I agree with the neglected part,I think i have replaced at least 25 side planks,The whole of the deck, numerous strengthing ribs, and still loads left to do,But over all she was still worth saving,I suspect the man i got her from would have burned her?Did it have the bmc engines in when you was on her do you know,Iwould like to have her back in water by the end of summer{fingers crossed}Thanks again,All the best,Rick.
