I am certain that from time to time as we surf the net we all come across interesting websites related to Military Powerboats and then forget where they are.

How about recording links for any intersting sites so that at sometime in the future somebody with the technical competance can set up a data base.

Heres a starter for 10 , its a German website that has national lists of MTB/MGB types built since the late 30's. Understandably the section on the German boats is the most detailed and certainly worth a look. It also contains links for models of boats illustated in the lists.

This is a modelling website with remote control scale models of DARK CLASS and PERKASA CLASS(VOSPER) Boats.

Worth a look for the detail photo's, video clips and Pigeon English.

here is another; http://www.hamstat.demon.co.uk

The site is quite hard to navigate, theese reports make intersting reading http://www.hamstat.demon.co.uk/HongKong/Reports

It's got an excellent account of the escape of the 2nd MTB flotilla from Hong Kong and some good photos.

also Commander Ron Ashby (MTB 07) converted MGB 56 into a houseboat and lived on her in Norwich for 40 years
