As there is no dedicated post for the Tenacity I will post images from the net in this topic.

The story of Tenacity is well documented in the Boat Histories section of the web site. The following images were taken from the following web site.

If you link to the web site you will get a potted history of her last days.

Happy New Year D-Zine

Many thanks for posting these shots of the broken Hull. Just like to add that the accident at the Chemical works started a very long legal case between the owner (an Egyptian) and the Works. The conversion was evidently not going along as well as imagined and the accusation was made that the chemical incident was not as serious as stated - but had given the owner a chance of 'pulling out' of a very expensive 'rebuild'. It would be interesting to find out any details of the Court case - The Ship Name plate was salvaged and is used, I am told, by a Sea Cadet Training Base.

Regards

Happy New Year Pioneer and all other Forum members,

For reference I have an image of HMS TENACITY taken from the 1979 edition of BRITISH WARSHIPS & AUXILIARIES By Mike Critchley.

I have read elsewhere that VOSPER built at least two patrol boats based on the TENACITY design for overseas navies. Is this correct and if so how similar were they?

Awaiting informed response as always.

Regards
