I'm new here. I'm a pilot and I normally hang out at PPRuNe.
Last
weekend, my sister sent me a link to a nostalgic film, promoting
Ramsgate as a holiday destination, which had a sequence about joy rides
from Ramsgate Airport, which is where I had my first flight.

However, what caught my eye was a vessel in the inner harbour that I had been on, when I was nine, during a sea trial.
I've tried to load a screen grab but could not, so please have a look at the grey vessel at 1:58 in the video. I remember being told at the time that she was an MTB, but I see now, after some research, that she was an RTTL.
My father, although an accountant by profession, was also a woodworker and he had some working connection with a boat building firm that were working on this vessel. I think she was called Penguin - quite appropriate for an RAF craft!.
Does anyone know anything about her and her subsequent history?

Apparently not!
And I can't see how to edit or delete a post.
