Hello,

I was wondering if anybody could furnish me with performance figures for the 40' SPT's?

I'm trying to estimate probable litres/hour and range in NM, but I've really got nothing to go on...

Can anybody correct my estimates or fill in the following blanks for me?

Planing Speed (kts):

20

Top Speed (kts):
25

Engine Capacity (cc):
3000

RPM at Planing Speed:
3000

Max RPM:
4500

Litres/Hour at Planing Speed:
80

Litres/Hour at Max Speed:

Tank Capacity (Litres):

250

Max Range (NM):
200

  Thanks for any help,

Paul

Surely I can't have foxed all you knowledgable chaps?

I've found that the fuel tanks were self-sealing 70 gallon items...

Can anybody help?

Hi Donald,

thanks for that - the tanks were a lot bigger than I thought.  Would they have had a single fuel tank or one for each engine?

Thanks for the information on the props - at some point in the future, I'm going to have to find a pair for my boat... Were they both left handed?  I had wondered whether they counter-rotated...

Thanks again,

Paul

Yes both props were left handed and the fuel tank (single) was fitted in the aft peak.
