I have just started to build 1/24th scale a r/c model of a Vosper MTB type 2 number 523.

Has anyone any information on this class or this boat and can anyone e-mail me any pictures as I have noticed several differences from the pictures I have seen on the web between the members of this small class.

Regards

Daryl

Hello Daryl

The second volumn of 'Allied Coastal Forces of World War 2' by John Lambert and Al Ross shows an excellent photo of MTB523 on page 83, while on page 84 and 85 there are details of armament and drawings of the craft. A good Library should be able to get you a copy.

Have a quick look at HSL MOULDINGS website;they're starting a 70' Vosper which looks really good.

HSl do a great range of fittings that will fit the type 2. The masters for the figures are carved by a friend of mine Alan Hawley, he does a fantastic job, HSL then makes the moulds and sells them. I recommend them to anyone.

Daryl  I see that you were after pics of Vosper MTBs. If you can get hold of a copy of British Coastal Forces of World War 11 by Paul J. Kemp. ISO publications price £14.95. In this you will find pics of various Vospers and others MTB types, some going into action and in base and amunitioning.
