JUST WONDERING IF ANYBODY HAS ANY PHOTOGRAPHS OF ONE OF THESE BOATS? I AM DOING ONE UP AS A TENDER FOR MY PINNACE. IT WAS BUILT IN 1961 WITH A SINGLE CYLINDER 10HP ENFIELD DIESEL WHICH LUCKILY IS STILL A GOOD RUNNER.
I KNOW IT IS NOT STRICTLY WHAT WE ARE ALL ABOUT, BUT IF THERE IS ANY BETTER PLACE TO START I HAVEN'T FOUND IT YET

Hi steve, sorry about the delay, but only just found this site. I am an ex Dartmouth shipwright, 1955 untill 67, I served my time in a little boatyard down behind the BRNC. We built mainly Montague whalers10 as I remember, also 25' motor boats, and the 16' motor boat, you mention, little pigs to plank as the shape was definitely cods head mackeral, tail which meant the fore mould was vey wide compared to the remainder, so the planking had to be forced around under great stress to achieve the correct shape, I do not have any photographs, but if you would like to list your questions I will try to answer them, I have returned to my tools after a 50 year break, building scale models,a 30' naval gig, a montague whaler, (what else) , a cornish 32' Gig, and presently a 32' Naval cutter,  planked up and being timbered out at present, all at a scale of 16:1
