Hello Everyone

I am the owner of 1506 and she is nearing the end of a long restoration process. She has been virtually rebuilt with a sympathetic conversion. She is lying at Castleford West Yorkshire
beside the river Calder. Would anyone know where I could get a pair of rudder glands for her, is there anyone breaking a boat somewhere?

Regards

Andy Lovell

Hi Steve

I contacted Dauntless boat yard, unfortunately one has been burnt and the other one has no fittings and after court action is complete will be following the same fate as the first.

Andy

Hello Andy, glad to read you are nearly there with 1506, it has been a long time since I visited you along with her former RAF Cox and another ex RAF chap who owned 1502 at the time and we had a good chat about the complications of a "proper" renovation in regards to the Hull structure re time, money and cost of materials. How many years has it taken you to get this far. Still have the photo's from our visit and have often meant to have another trip down to see how you were doing but never got around to it. Hope you find the bits you are after and it will not be long before you are afloat and enjoying the "fruits" of your labours.

Hi Clive

Do you know what the shaft length is above the rudder, the shaft diameter and the diameter of the part which goes through the hull along with its depth.

Many thanks

Andy
