I've found a couple of small 1/200 scale models of the 40 foot and 55 foot CMB's, but does anyone know of any larger scale models of either types?

55 ft CMB at 1/35th.
Based on plans of an export version, but with a little re-modelling of the wheelhouse it can easily be finished as the RN version.
The hull is solid resin and weighs 1.5kg, so presumably not suitable as a working model. 
According to Les Brown in the new book Allied Torpedo Boats, it is "indeed a masterpiece of resin moulding".

I'm doing a series of Allied Coastal Forces models, mainly from card and the WW1 CMBs are on my 'to do' list. Send me an e-mail to -- debrogerp@hotmail.com                 and I'll let you know how I progress.

My predominant scale is 1/144th, but being card models I can rescale up to 1/72 and 1/35 as the need arises.

Back in the early 1960's Newness Publications Paractical Mechanics magazine ran an article on builting a model CMB. I have almost all of the thirty-years of the magazine from 1933. As they are all currently with a friend I shall ask for them back to copy the article and drawings.
