Firstly, a couple of apologies in advance. I'm not sure this post is in the correct section as we are not sure if the boat actually is a pinnace And, there is a commercial element to this post - I'm looking for something for a client. My business - Primrose Engineering - repairs gearboxes for canal and river boats The Perkins S6M gearbox in Fairstar has failed, the reverse gear cluster has collapsed. The bearings have either fallen apart or totally disappeared, resulting in the reverse gears not making full tooth contact, so the tips of the gears have gone. In addition, the forward clutch cone is now in two parts. All in all, a bit of a mess Does anyone have a reverse cluster for sale, or a complete gearbox at a push?
