Does the forum allow the posting of photos? If so, any particular procedure to be followed?

I was wondering if it would be of interest to setup a new forum topic,
a kind of 'Where are they now' , where people could report on old ww2
boats, locations, for sale and abandoned.
I'm sure it would help to collate information about survivors and perhaps encourage the saving of some of those. Also people could find out about boats for sale without trawling all the magazines & web sites. |

Hello Don I think that your suggestion is just what is wanted here. I have forwarded it to Richard Hellyer - the Trust's Secretary. Best Regards |

Hi Guys Hear Hear! I have plenty of material for this, how does copyright infringrement come into play with such a thing? It would be frustrating to find a belter and not be able to post a pic.I'm making a photo album for dad and so far have nearly 200 images and I know about a few more around still hiding from my save as button!I suppose providing a link to a brokers page is an option but they seem to remove them quite quickly after sale, ditto ebay. |

Hello Christian,
I doubt copyright infringment exists on a brokers advert as the information is the public domain. A link back to the site is a good idea. They should pay you as you are advertising for them!! If you are still concerned (personally I wouldn't be), you can always email them saying you have put a link to the boat on your site and that gives them an opportunity to object if they wish. I'm still thinking about another boat for next summer but have found none in my budget (so PLEASE put then up!!). I've got some original WW2 ASR photos and photos of HSL 2548 taken in the summer. I'll put them up shortly. Regards Don |

For the record, the idea to create the topic came after visiting Christians home page where he has many photos of old war boats.
Any credit is due to him, not me. I've uploaded some stuff: WW2 ASR photos at: http://www.rania.co.uk/asr-ww2 Photos of 2548 are at: http://www.rania.co.uk/2548 They were a rush job so apologies all lack of sophistication. Please feel free to use as I own the originals. We did a site for the DLSRT. It's got a WW2 jukebox and loads of sounds & images. If you get a chance to have a look, please sign the guestbook. Turn on your speakers first.... Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this message... Regards Don |

Hi Don I was speaking with Neil Farthing about Morning Wings HDML1309,he says she's now got a replacement stbd engine and he sent me pics of her after a stay in dry-dock,she is looking great from the gunwhales down(the important bit)although the transom looked a bit tatty and the original portions of the superstructure also look good(they are too big to download here). He says they have come to a difficult decision to sell her,ill health in the family means not enough time to keep her maintained.Contact him at
