some time ago i promised to put some pics on of the work id done on my dads rasc , as you can see in the pictures the top cabin as been changed this had been done prior to dad purchasing the boat in 1989 , they have lived on it ever since , in the past we have run her up the humber and round the coast in to great yarmouth , in my last tread i mentioned id replaced 47 external planks and 11 internal in total , and redone all the rubbing boards , we think in her day as a patrol boat she might have been called beam,
![]() until we started chopping out the rot we did not know the extent off the damage
mam and dad pictured in the photo are on clean up duty there in there late 60"s and they still love the boating life

That looks to be a nice job. Out of interest, what engines, gearboxes and props does she have and what performance do you get from them.
Trying to figure out the best setup for HYPERION and its good to see what others are using. Cheers Gareth |

hi Gareth the engines are Perkins 4236 the gear boxes are 2to1 bougwarners the props i think are 14 by 12 but not sure i will check with my father tomorrow and post

My figures reckon that that should give you a max speed of about 11-12 knots with 10 being a reasonable cruise. Does this correspond to what you actually see?
