Ah! The much vaunted Siesta. Have you not heard, only Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the noon day sun. In other words Siesta does not apply to Brits and anyway I am sure there is some p.c. law against it!!

Have fun. Don't sleep too much.Big smile

the Grille which was about the size of a destroyer came to Hartlepool to have her turbines fixed by Richardson Westgarth after being sabotaged by the German's, whilst she was there Alva Liddel the great wartime news reader was involved in showing people around, unfortunatly after each tour the ship was getting lighter and lighter so they were stopped! Grillette's 6ltre Mercedes/Benz was also sabotaged(by pouring salt water into the bore's) which is why Mr Richardson managed to swap her for an Austin 10 and he promptly fitted her with a truck engine and used her for many years. Grille was going to be used for offshore gambling (mafia involvment suspected) and was eventually arrested by the American's, she was also considered by King George VI as a replacement for the Royal Yacht V@A but due to a her previous owner it was decided against. grillette was last heard of (last year in Gozo) under refit, she is in herself an historic survivor and I am amazed that the German Maratime museum have not snapped her up as she is just as historic as any e-boat and she did see "action" in the Channel when Grille was used for Minelaying
